It’s hard to believe 2016 is coming to a close and that it’s been nearly two years since I took office. As we look back on this year, we made some significant changes to move our state forward. This year we fully funded education for the first time in seven years, made strides to cut the red tape to help businesses grow and made meaningful reforms to our criminal justice system so that it focuses on rehabilitation.
A new year presents new opportunity, and I am very much looking forward to 2017 because we have every reason to succeed. We have the hardest working people and the best location of any state in the country. We continue to work toward a balanced budget with reforms to create jobs, lower property taxes, improve our schools and enact term limits.
Wishing you and yours all the best in the new year,
