Benjamin Lee Silver was enthusiastic, empathetic, and entertaining! He positively touched all those around him. As a student at Downers Grove North High School, he was a four-time all-state athlete; a champion on the track. At the age of 20, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. This terrible illness led to him taking his life in July 2015. The influence he had as a family member, friend, teammate, captain, and competitor will live on.
Let’s come together to raise funds to combat schizophrenia and honor the life of Benjamin Lee Silver, former Downers Grove North High School champion runner!
Each adult race is $20 and the kids races are $10 each.
Sign up for any or all races:
- Ben’s Elite Mile
(for men who can run faster than 5:30 and women who can run 6:30 or faster for 1 mile)
- Ben’s General Mile (All other runners)
- Ben’s Costume Mile
- Ben’s Walking Mile
- Ben’s Kids Half Mile (Ages 12 and under)
- Ben’s Kids Dash (100-yard dash for up to age 6)
