Adaptive Diver Spotlighting: Robert the Aquanaut!

Years ago Robert started diving through our program at the Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Education (ICRE). Like many of our adaptive divers, once he was introduced to diving in the pool he loved it and wanted to get certified and try it in the ocean. Luckily, ICRE also had a yearly trip that would take him to Key Largo Florida to experience freedom in the ocean. Click here to see Robert at his ICRE pool program.

Just last month Robert returned to the ocean and after 13 years in a wheelchair Robert was able to walk & run again. Watch and listen to his amazing story as he escapes gravity to discover freedom. Click here to see Robert now as he runs while underwater.
