As the official workforce development agency for DuPage County, workNet DuPage provides job training and supportive services critical to the economic recovery of our community as we bounce back from a once in a century pandemic.
Thanks to COVID-related grants, residents impacted by recent layoffs or a reduction in work, can receive free career training for jobs in high-demand fields coupled with rent assistance.
Eligible programs focus on high-wage, short-term training, including certified medical assistant, CNC machining, digital marketing, commercial driver’s license, information technology, and many others. It’s worth noting that most approved providers offer remote learning options where residents can complete training from the comfort of their home.
Participants also have access to supportive services such as rent assistance (including immediate support with back rent), internet access, and technological equipment.
Best of all, career services led by the dedicated professionals at workNet DuPage assist clients with job search workshops, one-on-one coaching, resume reviews, and moral support as they complete training programs and find employment.
