Over the next year, healthcare is expected to be the fastest growing industry in DuPage County, as highlighted in the first quarter economic indicators report, published by Choose DuPage.

Measured in terms of job growth, Healthcare Support Occupations is projected to add 350 jobs, Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations 419 jobs, and Personal Care and Service 257 jobs—totaling nearly 1,000 new jobs in the next year.

Current employment opportunities in high-paying positions are also available in a wide range of industries throughout DuPage, further showcasing it as an ideal location for businesses and job seekers looking to build a life in a thriving community.

DEVELOPER BUYS OFFICEMAX HQ, PLANS OVERHAUL

Last month, Crain’s Chicago Business reported that Franklin Partners, a suburban developer, is taking on the vacant former OfficeMax headquarters in Naperville with a plan to revamp the building and lease it to a slew of tenants.

The sale comes three years after OfficeMax moved out of the 354,000 square-foot office building at 263 Shuman Blvd. “We’re bringing a new type of Class-A building into the market that is amenity-driven,” said Franklin Partners Ray Warner.
