The Woodridge Public Library Board of Trustees has named Patti Naisbitt, current Public Relations and Program Coordinator at WPL, the next Library Director. Ms. Naisbitt officially assumed her new role on March 28, 2023.

The Library Board unanimously selected Patti Naisbitt to be Woodridge’s Library Director following the recent passing of Library Director Pam Dubé. Board President John Majewski points to Patti’s experience working with the Library Board and staff over the last decade, her exemplary communication of the library’s value and future goals, and her ability to build relationships within the Woodridge community as reasons for her selection.

Naisbitt holds a Masters in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University and is a graduate of St. Xavier University in Chicago. Starting with her time at the Chicago Public Library and an early internship in the Illinois Secretary of State’s Literacy Office, she has worked in a variety of libraries over the past 35 years, including the Indian Prairie Public Library, Elmhurst University’s A.C. Buehler Library, and as the LRC Director at Jackson Middle School in Lombard/Villa Park. She has held positions at the Woodridge Public Library, under both retired Director Susan McNeil-Marshall and Director Pam Dubé, dating back to 2007.
