Is it the magic of Halloween? Or do our early settlers just get lonely for some company every year about now? Stop by the Main Street Cemetery on October 20th between 10am and noon to visit with our pioneer families. Thanks to the ‘spirited’ support from Herrick Middle School Drama Club and many adult volunteers, you will have the privilege of hearing about what life was like back in the mid-1800’s as they encountered hardships, love, and loss while carving Downers Grove out of the prairie.
