The Alzheimer’s Association is excited to introduce the new 2020 Naperville Walk to End Alzheimer’s Planning Committee Event Chair, Mike Nulicek. Mike has served as the Walk Team Captain for Edward Jones, where he has worked as a Financial Advisor for the last three years, and is responsible for helping raise nearly $20,000 since his first Walk four years ago. Mike is personally passionate about the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association because he lost his grandmother to Alzheimer’s and has a family member currently living with the disease. Mike currently lives in Naperville with this wife Jenny and their three boys – Henry, Charlie and Jack.

Edward Jones is the National Presenting Sponsor of the Alzheimer’s Association. As a firm, Edward Jones has witnessed the devastation this disease can have on a family’s finances, so they are dedicated to participating in events across the country and to provide volunteers and resources to aid in this fight.

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Naperville will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at North Central College. On Walk day, participants will honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease with Promise Flowers during the poignant Promise Garden Ceremony – a moving display of hope to represent the personal reasons participants join together to fight Alzheimer’s. More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease – the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. Additionally, more than 16 million family members and friends provide care to people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. In Illinois alone, there are more than 230,000 people living with the disease and 588,000 caregivers.

Participants can join a team or register to walk as an individual at alz.org/walk.
