Important SBA program updates
The SBA is launching a streamlined application portal to allow borrowers with Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans of $150,000 or less through participating lenders to apply for forgiveness directly through the SBA.
The new forgiveness platform began accepting applications from borrowers on August 4th, 2021. Borrowers that need assistance or have questions should call (877) 552-2692, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. CST.

 Illinois businesses and residents affected by the tornado which occurred on June 21, 2021 may apply for low-interest disaster loans.
- Businesses and residents in DuPage County and the adjacent counties of Cook, Kane, Kendall and Will in Illinois can apply for disaster loans.
- Applicants may apply online and should apply under SBA declaration #17037, not for the COVID-19 incident.
- The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Sept. 14, 2021. The deadline to return economic injury applications is April 18, 2022.
Illinois businesses and residents affected by the flooding which occurred on June 25 to 27, 2021 can apply for low-interest disaster loans.
- The declaration covers McLean County and the adjacent counties of Champaign, DeWitt, Ford, Livingston, Logan, Piatt, Tazewell, and Woodford in Illinois.
- Applicants may apply online and should apply under SBA declaration #17052 not for the COVID-19 incident.
- The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Sept. 24, 2021. The deadline to return economic injury applications is April 26, 2022.
Illinois small businesses, small agricultural, and cooperatives engaged in aquaculture and private nonprofit organizations may apply for low-interest disaster loans as a result of drought that began on June 1, 2021.
- This declaration covers the counties of Winnebago County in Illinois and the contiguous Illinois counties of Boone, Dekalb, Ogle, and Stephenson; and Green and Rock in Wisconsin.
- Applicants may apply online and should apply under SBA declaration #17071, not for the COVID-19 incident.
- Loan applications to SBA are due no later than March 28, 2022.
